My soft spots.

First of all, I think I may have the Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Google it. :( I type so often that I can type without looking at the keyboard. Haha. I hate this pain on my hand and palm. Anyway, my bestie is finally back home! Oh the joy. We are planning things to do to make up for the short time she's here, as she will fly back to KL in a week time.

Well, 2 weeks will do for me. Ok, I just want to ask you peeps something; Have you ever feel this ticklish, fuzzy feeling on your legs, and when you look down, a cat is brushing itself against your legs? Please raise up your hands. T_T

Because cats always, ALWAYS come to me, showing their pity looks, and purring at my feet. How can I turn them down??? I can never. I would feed them whatever I eat, and even patting their heads. My boyfriend nags me about that all the time, but I can't see stray cats without feeling so much pity for them. Same goes with dogs.

I have this bad habit, whenever I go to pet stores, I would watch the dogs and cats through the glass window for so long, and asking the pet store's owner if I could play with them even just for a while. I went to buy flowers yesterday at Claire's Florist, and there was a dog on the counter, a poodle. I just sat on the stool and started stroking its fur for a few good minutes. It's my natural reflex.

I hate seeing how people treat animals so badly, like kicking them away when they approach their dining tables, or throw stones/sticks at them even when the animals are not disturbing them. Unlike we humans, we can work and find ways to eat, and we have money to buy what we want to eat. Animals CANNOT do any of those. For pet animals, they are fed constantly, hence the domestic (almost) nature. For stray ones, they have to scour garbages and leftover foods to fill their hungry stomaches. How's that for living?

Why make their lives any harder by kicking and splashing hot water at them? People who have pets are more compassionate. It's proven and even Mahatma Ghandi said, "The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated."

I, too, have a soft spot for babies. It's another bad habit of mine, where I always love to touch and coo at some random woman's baby at supermarket. Sometimes, when the mother is kind enough, she lets me cuddle her baby. That's how bad it is. I shouldn't do it, because it'll scare some mothers. But I can't help it. Babies are like magnets to me. Friendly babies are the best, shy ones are scariest, because they'll cry like nobody's business. T_T

I should stop feeding stray animals and patting them on their heads, as well as playing with babies in supermarkets or wherever. But I just can't help it.

It's my subconscious nature. Just like driving. When you are too used driving using the same route every day, you just can't remember how you get to that place. It always happens to me. I don't remember how I eventually reached UNIMAS, and the things that had happened during the journey. I don't remember changing the gears. Scary, yeap.

Our first date, at Spring's Starbucks. We got discount because the barrista is our dear friend! :D

The cheesecake was abit dense and dry because I left it in the oven for extra 10 mins. I was too engrossed watching The Nanny. T_T

Most challenging cupcake order so far. Superbikes! Dear Farah ordered this full Hershey's set. Everything chocolate. YUM!

She was shocked to see the bikes were actually up! haha!

Life is so amazing. My final year project has been approved, and I'll volume (jilid???) it within this week. I've applied for Masters in Research program, and my area of study will be Cognitive Psychology. I've always been attracted to cognitive and psychology, and I proposed to do further research on my final year project topic. :D

I love blessed days.

P.S: Do drop by my cupcakes' blog, SweetBites, as I am currently promoting cupcakes for Mother's Day! :D
